High-Level Thoughts

The four agreements ideology is that you create thousands of “agreements” with yourself over your life that shape your identity - a perspective derived from ancient Toltec culture (10th century Mesoamerica). In order to live happily, you have to confront and break your negative agreements.

Summary Notes

Toltec culture. The Four Agreements:

  1. Be impeccible with your words.
  2. Don't take anything personally
  3. Don't make assumptions.
  4. Always do your best.

95% of beliefs we have are nothing but lies.

Just being ourselves is the biggest fear of humans.

The way we judge ourselves is the worst judge that ever existed

Whenever we hear an opinion and believe it, it becomes a part of our belief system.

Gossip is poison

We make the assumption that everyone sees life the way we do.

The problem with most people is that they lose control of their emotions.

Embrace the angle of death

Our environment domesticates us from childhood and it leads us to living an unreflected life.

Nothing others do is because of you.

What others say and do is a projection of their own dream.

Enjoy the path travelled and the destination will take care of itself.
